The Role
The Production Engineer is responsible for achieving production goals while ensuring full compliance with safety, health, quality, environmental and operational standards. The role oversees people, equipment, materials and processes to guarantee safe, efficient, and continuous operations in the assigned area.
What You’ll Do Lead start‑of‑shift meetings, reinforcing safety messages, correct PPE use, and team engagement. Stop any activity that may present unsafe conditions or behaviors, protecting people, equipment, materials, and product quality. Approve special work permits (hot work, heights, confined spaces, energy‑related tasks) ensuring requirements are met. Audit first‑piece approvals, operating conditions, and proper equipment release. Conduct Safetrack observations, correct deviations immediately, and coach employees; record findings in the system.
