Information Technology Specialist (Security)

Summary This position is located in the Bureau of Diplomatic Security Executive Director, Office of the Chief Technology Officer at the U.S. Department of State (DS/EX/CTO). The incumbent provides Information Technology (IT) security expertise and oversight in the areas of application design and development, system operations, security monitoring and analysis, cloud computing, cybersecurity threats, and emerging technologies. Responsibilities Supports the implementation of security programs designed to anticipate security needs, assess current posture, and minimize system vulnerabilities. Maintains Bureau compliance with legal and regulatory requirements by conducting annual security updates, risk assessments, and continuous monitoring to address emerging threats.
