Overview

This job share position is for a skilled Infection Prevention and Control Site Lead based at William Harvey Hospital, with a Trust‑wide strategic lead role on IPC issues.

Responsibilities

• Act as expert resource on infection prevention and control, providing evidence‑based advice and promoting best practice.
• Lead the reduction of healthcare‑associated infection through education, surveillance, audit, policy development, review and innovation.
• Jointly serve as site lead to ensure completion of the Trust Wide Improvement Plan (TWIP) for IPC and decontamination portfolio.
• Provide visible and accessible specialist support to clinical staff, guiding assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patient care regarding IPC.
