Industrial Designer

**Position Purpose:**
Develop product design solutions within various departments including hard-lines, decor, and building materials while successfully navigating complex patent landscapes and providing industry leading thought and design deliverables. Serve internal clients by understanding their goals and partnering with them on product designs to improve business results. Balance the relationship between product properties, design elements, business goals, marketing demands, consumer trends, technology and environmental issues.

**Key Responsibilities:**

+ 20% Develop 'new to the world' product designs
+ 20% Develop designs for existing products to improve on the design or reduce cost taking into consideration current patent landscape
+ 20% Create original designs for Decor market
+ 30% Support the consistent implementation of existing visual brand languages
+ 10% Support industrial design projects or initiatives as required
