Indigenous Transition Year Program Coordinator

The primary responsibility of the Indigenous Transition Year Program Coordinator is to recruit and support Indigenous students’ entry into the Indigenous Transition Year Program (ITYP) and ensure successful transition to an undergraduate program at Lakehead University.

Responsibilities

• Program management including coordination of the planning, delivery and the evaluation of the Indigenous Transition Year Program; one of the Indigenous Access Programs offered through the Department of Indigenous Initiatives.
• Coordinate and liaise with university departments, First Nation communities, Indigenous organizations, High schools locally, regionally and provincially, First Nation Funders and Industry Partners to promote awareness and provide information.
• Manage the administration, screening and selection process with the Admissions and Recruitment department.
• Promotional activities to raise the program awareness and visibility.
