Job Summary

Responsible for the skillful performance of technical care to patients in accordance with the established policies and procedures and performs clerical duties while functioning as a communication source in the Intensive Critical Care Unit.
Job Duties


+ Promptly answers telephone calls and forwards to the appropriate individual.

+ Prepares requisitions and notifies appropriate departments of necessary procedures.

+ Notifies Registration Department of patients to be transferred from Intensive Critical Care Unit.

+ Orders supplies and equipment by maintaining department par levels.

+ Stocks paper supplies at the nurses' and physicians' desks.

+ Cleans IV pumps and equipment as needed.

+ Prepares and applies identification bracelets for life support, call codes.

+ Performs patient procedures such as vital signs, intake and output, bedside blood sugar readings.
