About the Role

Under general supervision, the HVAC Mechanic performs skilled journeyperson level work on FMFN residential, facility, and building HVAC mechanical systems (heating, air flow, and air conditioning systems). Responsibilities include installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing HVAC mechanical components and systems in accordance with industry standards to ensure safety, functionality, and efficiency.

Work involves a variety of construction, renovation, maintenance, or repair duties, requiring skill, precision, experience and knowledge of trade practices to produce refined work products. Assignments are usually in the form of oral or written work orders. The journeyperson may be assigned tradespersons, apprentices, or labourers to assist in the work.
