Hse Advisor

Main job:
Provide HSE advice + oversight on a new Energy-from-Waste (EFW) facility build in the UK, ensuring compliance with CDM 2015, EAWR, and site rules.

Key Responsibilities
1. HSE guidance: Advise on risks + compliance for construction/commissioning
2. Site checks: Monitor safety, PPE, permits-to-work
3. Regs compliance: Ensure adherence to CDM, EAWR, BS 7671
4. Training: Deliver toolbox talks, site inductions
5. Incident response: Investigate, report RIF
6. Coordination: Liaise with project managers, contractors, HSE inspectors

Requirements – UK 2026
- Quals: NEBOSH Diploma or equiv. HNC/D in Engineering a plus
- Experience: 3-5 years HSE/construction experience
- Skills: Risk assessments, report writing, electrical/fire awareness
- Certs: SMSTS, CSCS card

Typical Day
- AM: Review plans, site visits
- Work: Check safety, witness tests
- PM: Report, update records
