Job Description

The hotel Director of Engineering leads all maintenance, facility operations, and capital projects to protect property assets. They ensure building systems run efficiently, maintain guest comfort, and ensure the facility complies with life-safety and regulatory codes.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or equivalent trade certifications.
Experience: 5 to 10+ years in facilities management, with several years in hospitality leadership.
Technical Skills: Deep knowledge of Building Management Systems (BMS) and Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
Communication: Strong conflict resolution, vendor negotiation, and team-building skills.
Physical & Schedule: Ability to walk the property, respond to emergencies, and work flexible hours.
Facility Maintenance: Directs preventive and reactive maintenance for MEP systems, HVAC, plumbing, and elevators.
