JOB SUMMARY
/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provides in-patient medicine services to Queen’s Medical Center patients through direct patient care, and teaching and supervision of students and residents from the John A. Burns School of Medicine and assigned residents from other programs. Rotates through all Hospitalist services, including but not limited to: the General University, Swing, Night and Specialty services.CLINICAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Admits patients to the Hospitalist Program and for overnight admits.Serves as the Attending Physician of record. Rounds on assigned patients/patients on personal census.Discharges patients when medically appropriate.Provides cross-coverage for all Hospitalist Program patients and any other patient in the Medical Center as needed.Provides coverage for the specialty services as needed.Provides medical education to a team of students, interns and residents.
