Horticulture General Operative

Overall Purpose of the Job:

To work as part of a team, to deliver goals and objectives with a strong focus on the quality to minimize the risk of rework and rejections of product. To participate and contribute to continuous improvement activities within the organization and its processes.

Responsibilities

• Ensure product is handled with great care to protect quality and minimize damage and waste
• Responsible for the production and/or packing of a variety of products to the agreed standards of efficiency
• Ensure that product meets our customer specification
• Collaborate and support the team to ensure that product is being packed in the most efficient way. Ensure wet waste and class 2 are segregated correctly
• Ensure that machinery is set up correctly
• Operating farm machinery, including Tractors and Sprayers
• Collaborate with the team to support smooth and efficient change overs
