Job Description

Deputy CFO – Retail Banking will act as a strategic advisor to the respective Business Head (Consumer Banking, Corporate Banking, or Financial Markets) while maintaining a direct reporting line to the CFO.

The role ensures the delivery of insightful financial advice and decision support to business leaders, alongside adherence to financial discipline, governance, and performance oversight expected by the CFO.

Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Business Partnership

  • Collaborate with Business Heads to translate strategic initiatives into financial outcomes.

  • Support business growth through financial planning, business cases, investment reviews, and cost-benefit analyses.

  • Drive ownership and accountability for key applicable metrics such as: Customer growth
    Cost efficiencies
    Loan and deposit margins
    NIM (Net Interest Margin)
    ROA (Return on Assets)
    ROE (Return on Equity)
    Trading income
