HLTA (Transition & Nurture)

About The Role

The role is for a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) specialising in Transition & Nurture. The primary purpose is to support pupils as they transition from Key Stage 2 into Key Stage 3, working with individuals or small groups to access the curriculum and engage fully in their learning. Working alongside class teachers, you will help raise pupil attainment and promote independence, self‑esteem and social inclusion.

Qualifications & Experience

• HLTA qualification desirable, or willingness to work towards it.
• Experience supporting pupils in a primary school setting.
• Passion for inclusive education and ability to support all learners.
• Collaborative team player with initiative and ability to work independently.
• Strong interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, parents and external professionals.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
