Summary:
The Histology Technician prepares tissue and fluidic specimen samples for microscopic examination and analysis by a pathologist.

Responsibilities:
• Receives specimens, maintaining traceability and clear recordkeeping. Ensures proper specimen identification and labeling.
• Prepares tissue samples to reveal specific structural details for microscopic examination by pathologist:
o Orients and embeds samples in liquid wax.
o Cuts tissue samples to appropriate thickness using microtome.
o Mounts specimens on slides.
o Stains tissues with Hematoxylin and Eosin (H&E).
• Prepares cytological specimens to reveal specific cellular details for microscopic examination by pathologist. Centrifuges fluid samples to determine cellularity of sample and select appropriate...
