The Service & Team

Cornwall Council’s Communication Support Team is a small friendly team working in schools and settings across Cornwall. We comprise Speech and Language Therapists, Speech and Language Therapy Assistants and Advisory Teachers.

We are part of the wider SEND Support Service. We work closely with colleagues to provide advice, training and support on a wide range of general SEND issues such as the Graduated Response and EHC Needs Assessments. We value and support a wide range of continued professional development both within and outside of the county.

The Role

This post will include developing support in settings for children and young people with Speech, Language and Communication Needs. This can include delivering whole setting accessible training, peer support, as well as identifying inclusive strategies and advising on how to implement these.
