About the role

We are seeking a Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team, supporting children and young people within the Royal Berkshire Hospital children’s ward, as well as in community, home, and other off‑site settings. The role will involve providing tailored educational support to pupils who are unable to attend school due to medical needs, helping them to maintain continuity in their learning and progress. You will deliver targeted interventions and provide flexible tutoring to support engagement, confidence, and positive next steps in education during periods of ill health. You may also work with medical students and a range of learners with differing needs, ensuring learning is adapted appropriately to individual circumstances.
