Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)

WorkwithSchools are looking to recruit an experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) for a part-time role at a local primary school in York, starting September 2026.

This KS2 HLTA role will involve supporting pupils in Year 4 and Year 6.

Your timetable:

• Tuesday – full day every week
• Wednesday morning – Week A
• Friday morning – Week A
• Possible additional Monday full day – Week B

The ideal candidate will have:

• HLTA experience within a primary school
• Strong KS2 classroom support skills
• Confidence working with Year 4 and Year 6 pupils
• A flexible and positive approach
