Higher Level Teaching Assistant

Qualifications

• Relevant Teaching Assistant Qualification or higher
• Good standard of education including English & maths (GCSE/Level 2)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience working within a classroom setting and with primary aged pupils
• Excellent behaviour management skills
• Ability to work on own initiative and also work well as part of a team

Responsibilities

• Implement and undertake work in line with the Higher Level Teaching Assistants Standards
• Contribute to planning, preparing and delivery of learning activities and support programmes to individuals or groups of pupils
• Deliver and plan lessons for groups of pupils or whole classes
• Support the class teacher(s) within the school
• Promote the inclusion of all pupils, ensuring they have equal opportunities to learn and develop
