HGV Roamer / Tramper Driver

Job Overview

We are recruiting for a Roamer/Tramper HGV Driver to join our team, working from our Operation Centre in Peterlee (SR8 2JQ). Your home location will be Peterlee, but you will be required to travel to other operation centres to provide holiday cover and assist with increased workload. You will complete 3 to 4 overnights per week and receive an additional overnight allowance payment.

In this role you will collect and deliver predominantly accident‑damaged vehicles of all shapes, sizes and conditions on our salvage transporters, which can be physically demanding. You will carry out internal and external checks on your truck and equipment, photograph any damage, and inspect all collected and delivered vehicles. You must comply with all legal and company requirements for a professional driver, operating the vehicle and loading equipment safely and efficiently, and following all H&S policies and procedures.
