Heritage and Natural Resource Manager Masset

Lead the Heritage and Natural Resource initiatives at the Council of the Haida Nation in Masset, Haida Gwaii. This full-time position emphasizes collaboration, cultural understanding, and natural resource stewardship.
As the Heritage and Natural Resource Manager, you will report to the Director of Lands and manage various program areas under the Strategic Land Use Agreement and other protocols. This role requires oversight of Heritage and Natural Resources operations while ensuring efficient training and safety standards for your team. You will also assess departmental needs and support emergency situations as necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee Heritage & Natural Resources operations and policy compliance
• Supervise seasonal and full-time staff with training opportunities
• Develop and maintain budgets and work plans for HNRD
• Participate in management bodies as assigned
• Assess departmental and fiscal needs for project recommendations
