Locum Hematology/Oncology Physician Coos Bay, OR
Location: Coos Bay, Oregon
Position Type: Locum Tenens
Start Date: April 1, 2025 (Ongoing)
Call Requirements: 7 days per month, including 1 weekend (1:4 rotation)
Shift details: Minimum of 2 weeks of coverage per month; 4 or 5 days per week, 8:30a-4:30p, admin day or 1/2 day if needed
Opportunity Overview:
Seeking a Board-Certified Hematology/Oncology Physician for locum coverage in outpatient cancer center. This opportunity offers a mix of oncology and hematology cases (80% oncology, 20% hematology) , with a focus on seeing new solid tumor diagnoses within one week of referral .
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide outpatient oncology/hematology care in a free-standing cancer center
* Average 10-15 outpatient visits per day
* Hospital rounding only when inpatient chemo is required
* Supervise and collaborate with 2 APPs
* Work with radiation oncologists on-site
* Utilize EPIC EMR
