Heavy Vehicle Mechanic

Are you a skilled Heavy Vehicle Mechanic (Diesel Mechanic) who takes pride in keeping essential services moving? We’re looking for an experienced, customer focused mechanic to join our Workshop Team at Lake Macquarie City Council.

In this hands on role, you’ll be responsible for maintaining and repairing Council’s diverse fleet and plant assets, ensuring they remain safe, reliable and fit for purpose. Your work will include scheduled and reactive servicing, repairs, modifications and RMS registration and compliance inspections, using the latest diagnostic scan tools and technology.

You’ll join a dedicated and diverse team of highly skilled automotive professionals who take pride in our strong reputation for safety compliance, efficiency and quality workmanship.
