Job Description

Position Summary

: The CDL Heavy Haul Driver is responsible for safely transporting heavy equipment such as bulldozers, excavators, loaders, and other oversized machinery to and from job sites. This position requires the ability to properly load, secure, transport, and unload equipment, as well as safely operate the equipment being hauled.

Key Roles / Responsibilities: 

  • Safely operate a Class A commercial vehicle with lowboy, detachable, or other heavy haul trailers.

  • Load and unload heavy equipment including bulldozers, excavators, skid steers, loaders, and similar machinery.

  • Properly secure loads using chains, binders, straps, and other approved tie-down methods in compliance with DOT regulations.

  • Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of truck, trailer, and equipment.

  • Ensure compliance with all DOT, federal, state, and local transportation laws and regulations.
