Position Overview

We are currently seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team at our Leduc, AB landfill. This position is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of heavy equipment including dozers, compactors, excavators, loaders, and other related machinery used in day-to-day landfill operations. The successful candidate will ensure that all work is carried out in compliance with environmental regulations, company policies, and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment such as compactors, bulldozers, excavators, and front‑end loaders in a landfill environment.
• Spread, compact, and cover incoming waste materials in accordance with site‑specific procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Perform routine daily inspections and maintenance of equipment, including cleaning, checking fluid levels, and reporting issues or required repairs.
