Heavy Equipment Diesel Mechanic - Underground Mining

Join a team supporting production at specialized zinc and graphite mining operations in Gouverneur, NY. We're seeking an experienced HDE Diesel Mechanic to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair heavy-duty underground mobile equipment in a safety-focused environment.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, maintain, and repair heavy-duty underground mobile equipment and diesel engines.
• Service transmissions, drivetrains, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, 12/24V electrical systems, pumps, compressors, and electro-mechanical controls.
• Perform preventive maintenance, scheduled services, inspections, and fluid/filter changes.
• Complete welding and fabrication repairs, including frames, brackets, and bodywork.
• Accurately complete maintenance reports, inspections, and service records.
• Work collaboratively with site crews to maximize equipment uptime and safe production.
