HMP Lancaster Farms - Healthcare Assistant (Part Time)

Hours: 22.5 hours per week

Salary: £25,557 – £29,723 FTE per annum

Our team is expanding, and we are looking for a Healthcare Assistant to join the team at HMP Lancaster Farms on a part‑time basis. This is a rewarding opportunity to work within primary care, while gaining exposure to a wider multi‑disciplinary team in a unique and supportive healthcare environment.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Running and supporting healthcare clinics (bloods, observations, ECGs, NHS Health Checks)
• Working in reception (Early Days in Custody), carrying out basic health assessments and blood‑borne virus screening
• Supporting health promotion and wellbeing initiatives
• Acting as pharmacy second checker and assisting with medication rounds
• Working collaboratively with nurses, GPs, and wider healthcare professionals
