Head Nurse - Hematology Group

Your Opportunity:

Reporting to the CTU Associate Manager, the Hematology Head Nurse provides effective leadership of the Hematology team and acts as a resource for staff. They ensure smooth functioning of the team by providing daily guidance and direction to nursing staff, clinical research coordinators, and clinical trials assistants. Working collaboratively with the team, they ensure a balanced workload, reallocating workload or resources within the group as required, and act in accordance with hospital guidelines, professional standards, and collective agreements. They conduct staff skill assessments to determine clinical competence, drawing in the CTU Educator and CTU CTC Lead as needed. They act as Shift Supervisor and refer issues of a financial or human resource nature to the CTU Managers.
