Head & Media Engineering Intern

As part of Asia Drive Engineering Organization, China Functional Engineering team is responsible for the technical solutions for Seagate Hard Drive products in quality, reliability and yield improvements. Our team is comprised of five functional groups, covering all aspects of HDD technology – Servo, Mechanical, Recording head & media integration, Read/Write channel electronics and Tribology. 

About the role - you will:

● Understand how to perform Head Media FA on all post process failures and determine root cause. Work with various groups to develop corrective actions and follow through the implementations.
● Conceive and develop solutions to engineering programs through the application of professionally accepted engineering techniques, practices and procedures.
● Lead recording head and media system integration in factory for released drive products yield improvement, reliability improvement, and new head & media qualification.
