Hand Finish Technician (Deburr) - 2nd Shift

Summary:
Under general supervision de-burrs, grinds, polishes, and cleans machined parts in order to provide a quality product. Inspects products and reports any defects that occur from handling. Uses general equipment like de-burring tools, power grinders, hand tools, and vibratory de-burring equipment along with solvents, emery paper, polishing compounds, compressed air and part washing machines.

This is a 2nd shift position from 2:30pm - 11:00pm.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

+ Inspect and analyze machined aerospace parts for burrs, sharp edges, and surface irregularities using magnification tools and blueprints/specifications.

+ Remove burrs, sharp edges, and other imperfections using hand tools, abrasive wheels, stones, scrapers, small power tools (e.g., Dremels, grinders), and polishing equipment.

+ Interpret and follow technical drawings, blueprints, engineering specifications, and process sheets to ensure conformance.
