POSITION SUMMARY Under the supervision of the Group Exercise Coordinator, the Group Exercise Instructor will instruct group classes in a safe, enjoyable, and positive environment that promotes member wellness and engagement. The Group Exercise Instructor will provide a quality experience to members, participants, staff and others that focuses on the YMCA core values of caring, honesty, respect, responsibility. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Lead energizing, fun, safe, and educational group classes, as directed by the supervisor, to accomplish the YMCA mission and goals. Answer questions from members to support them in achieving their goals related to health and wellness. Maintains working knowledge of wellness and trends to provide effective information and support to members.
