Groundworker Apprentice

Solum SW Ltd are delighted to be offering a Groundwork Apprenticeship, looking for 6 apprentices to join the groundworks team.

Training course

Groundworker (level 2)

Hours

45 hours per week on site. 7:30 am to 5:00 pm. 2 x half an hour breaks (1 paid). 20 days holiday plus 8 bank and public holidays.

Duration

1 Year 6 Months

Work

As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands‑on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.

What you’ll do at work

General groundwork duties as required but not limited to:

• Laying drainage
• Kerb laying
• Concreting and laying tarmac
• Safe use of tools, plant and materials having due regards to your own safety
• Wearing PPE
• Maintaining the safety of others in accordance with the HASAWA
