£15.82 £17.79 per hour + pending pay award (backdated to 1 April)

THE ROLE
A varied, hands-on position combining team supervision, horticulture, health & safety, and contractor coordination making a real, visible difference to Kendal's public spaces and community assets.
- Lead day-to-day grounds and maintenance operations across Kendal's public spaces and council estate
- Supervise a Grounds & Maintenance Assistant and coordinate contractors
- Oversee horticulture, allotment sites, civic planting and maintenance projects
- Manage health & safety, risk assessments, record keeping and budget monitoring
- Support community events and help keep Kendal looking its best year-round
- Report directly to the Council Services Manager with real autonomy in the role
