3 months contract with a Local Authority Job Title: Grounds Maintenance Operative Job Purpose To support the delivery of high-quality grounds maintenance services across parks, green spaces, public areas, and council-owned land within the Wyre Forest District. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining outdoor environments using a variety of specialist grounds maintenance equipment while ensuring a safe, clean, and attractive environment for residents and visitors. Key Responsibilities Operate and maintain grounds maintenance machinery, including: Strimmers Pedestrian mowers Ride-on mowers (preferred) Carry out grass cutting and vegetation management activities. Perform general grounds maintenance duties, including: Hedge trimming Weeding Pruning Litter picking Leaf clearance Conduct daily equipment checks and report any defects or maintenance requirements. Work safely and in accordance with Health & Safety regulations. Drive council vehicles between sites as required...
