The Opportunity:
Red River Co-op is recruiting for the position of Grocery Clerk This position reports to the Grocery Manager. The Grocery Clerk adds value to our Co-operative by providing world-class customer service that is fast, friendly and efficient.
Essential responsibilities of the position include the following:
Maintain sections of merchandise (non-perishable food, dairy, frozen food, general merchandise, health and beauty, bulk food) as assigned in an effective manner. Ensure first-in, first-out rotation is followed at all times, and that close-dated product is reported to the Grocery Manager.
Receive, inspect, and store orders upon delivery to ensure all product is immediately stored in proper temperature-controlled environment.
Ensure the Grocery Department is properly stocked with merchandise and faced at all times.
Assist in building mass and bunk end displays as required.
