**Job Description**

The **Department of Neurosurgery** is actively seeking a Grant Writer (Academic Program Professional 2) to work under the general direction of faculty to develop, implement, and administer the vision, strategy, and goals of externally funded research within our department. The Grant Writer will be responsible for program strategy development/management and will work with faculty and other researchers to develop, draft, edit, and submit manuscripts and grant proposals to federal and non-federal funding agencies. The Grant Writer will serve as a resource expert to support the growth and development of our faculty and research program. Our department has seen dramatic growth in the past few years, so we are seeking a candidate with the ability to multi-task and be extremely detail oriented, self-motivated and a team player.
