Graduate Nurse - OR/Surgical Services

Job Summary:

The Graduate/Registered Nurse works under the direction of the Clinical Nurse Manager, or their designee, in accordance with the objectives, policies, and procedures of the nursing department and established professional standards. Effectively interacts with patients and healthcare members, while maintaining standards of professional nursing.

Demonstrates knowledge of the nursing process by complete and accurate patient assessments, initiation and implementation of Nursing Care Plan, with evaluation and alteration of nursing care as needed.

Administers medication in accordance with policies/procedures/standards of care.

Demonstrates competency in maintenance and use of log books, forms and computer programs required in the operation of the unit.
