GIS Technician
The GIS Technician supports engineering and field operations by creating GIS-based designs, maintaining accurate geospatial records, and supporting safety and compliance initiatives for utility infrastructure. This role combines office-based mapping work with field data collection to help maintain reliable asset records and support construction, maintenance, and system improvement projects.
Key Responsibilities
Create GIS designs and cost estimates for main and service-related work.
Collect as-built field data using mobile GPS equipment to maintain accurate asset records.
Update GIS maps and attribute data to ensure records remain current and reliable.
Perform quality checks on GIS data before posting to production.
Support engineering, operations, and project teams with mapping and GIS information.
