:SCHEDULE:
Mix of 6 or 8 hour shifts with working hours built between 6-4:30p
Self schedule
Call required 1-2x biweekly and every 6-8th weekend (Fri-Mon)
Call is at our ThedaCare Appleton Hospital
Call response time 30 minutes
1-2 holidays per year required
UNIT DETAILS (Endoscopy):
Endoscopy nurses work in collaboration with doctors to diagnose and treat conditions affecting the gastrointestinal tract. Responsible for educating patients about their disease or condition and providing treatment for GI tract problems, ulcers, dyspepsia, carcinoma, dysphagia and bariatric intervention. Administering and evaluating pharmacological and other therapeutic treatment regimens mandated by the particular situation, evidence-based practice, and recent advancements in gastroenterology.
