The Advanced Practice Provider is primarily responsible for providing health care services in the long-term care environment, including assessing, diagnosing, prescribing, treating, and educating residents. The Advanced Practice Provider works closely with physicians and other clinicians in a team approach to resident care. The Advanced Practice Provider is a highly visible position that is always responsible for creating a positive impression with residents, families, facility staff members, physicians and other visitors he/she encounters, both in person and on the phone.
