Job Summary

The Great Bear Geotechnical Lead is responsible for planning, scheduling, and overseeing all geotechnical work conducted on site. Key Responsibilities and Duties

Collaborate closely with responsible onsite personnel and project stakeholders. Perform all work safely and in accordance with Kinross standards and site‑specific safety procedures (including drilling and excavation activities). Oversee drilling, sampling, and in‑situ testing programs (e.g., SPT, CPT, vane shear, density testing). Plan, schedule, and supervise field investigations including boreholes, test pits, and geophysical surveys. Coordinate field activities with drillers, contractors, surveyors, operations, health and safety, permitting, geology, and environmental teams. Supervise the installation, monitoring, and management of geotechnical instrumentation and associated data (e.g., piezometers, inclinometers, settlement plates).
