Geotechnical Engineer

Our Reston, VA office is looking for a Geotechnical engineer to join our established team. Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Perform and oversee geotechnical field explorations, including test borings, rock coring, test pits, cone penetration testing, hand augers, and other methods
* Perform construction monitoring of earth retaining structures, deep foundations (drilled shafts, piles), and shallow foundations.
* Prepare boring logs and subsurface profiles
* Design of shallow and deep foundations and earth-retaining structures.
* Perform liquefaction and consolidation settlement analyses.
* Perform Finite Element modeling using PLAXIS and or FLAC.
* Develop geotechnical reports.
* Perform Pavement Design and develop Pavement Reports
* Design Ground Improvement including deep soil mixing, rigid inclusions, chemical
* Develop Contract documents including drawings and specifications
* Work in collaborative multi-disciplinary teams ...
