Sarah Lawrence College Graduate Program in Human Genetics is seeking an experienced professional to teach our 2-credit Advanced Psychosocial Interviewing and Counseling Methods for Genetic Counselors Course. The course meets once a week for 2 hours from 9/7/26-12/20/26. Preferred method of teaching is fully in person, on campus.Advanced Psychosocial Interviewing and Counseling Methods for Genetic Counselors Course Description: This graduate level course provides exploration of and practice in counseling skills applied to genetic counseling practice. Students develop proficiency in interviewing techniques, active listening, and client-centered decision-making, with emphasis on culturally responsive and trauma-informed care.
