Job description includes: Timely provision of psychiatric care to assigned patients and participation in hospital educational activities. This position will have responsibility to provide psychiatric care to the patients admitted to 10 bed involuntary inpatient unit and consultation-liaison service. The psychiatrist will provide psychiatric consultation service to medical/surgical floors. The requirement is to see the consults within 24 hours of being called except in the cases urgent consultation is requested. Participation in psychiatric on call schedule. 1:5 at present.
