Clinical Responsibilities

• Conduct face‑to‑face consultations
• Manage telephone and digital consultations
• Participate in the practice’s total triage system delivered through Accurx, reviewing and clinically assessing patient requests to determine the most appropriate course of action
• Undertake duty doctor/on‑call sessions, providing same‑day clinical assessment and decision‑making for urgent patient needs (on‑call responsibilities are shared across the GP team and allocated on a sessional pro‑ratio basis)
• Carry out home visits where clinically appropriate
• Check, sign and reauthorise repeat prescriptions
• Manage patient queries, clinical correspondence and administrative tasks in a timely manner
• Make professional and autonomous clinical decisions regarding presenting problems, whether self‑referred or referred by other healthcare professionals
