Location: HMP Deerbolt, Barnard Castle (DL12 9BG)

Salary: £27,426 + 15% weekend allowance

Hours: 39 hrs per week (Mon–Thu: 07:30 – 16:00, Fri: 07:30 – 15:00, Weekends: 1 in 3 on rota, 07:30 – 15:30)

Role Overview: Permanent position carrying out general maintenance and handyperson duties at HMP Deerbolt. Support trades and help keep the site safe and running smoothly.

• General maintenance & repairs
• Supporting on‑site trades
• Basic building / DIY tasks

What you’ll need:

• All‑round maintenance or DIY experience
• Reliable, organised and a team player
• Willingness to learn

Requirements:

• Prison security clearance and Standard DBS required (fully supported by Amey)
