About the Role

Permanent Medicine Registrar position starting 2 February 2026. Allocation to General Medicine training position for 2026 at Wairarapa Hospital in Masterton.

The position is a 6‑month RACP‑accredited training position. However, we are open to consider a doctor who could work in this position for the entire year (2× 6‑month postings). You will be the General Medical Registrar with a small team of consultant physicians and prevocational doctors and have a great opportunity to lead and learn. As the lone registrar you will have direct contact with the SMO physician team and other teams providing a wide scope of hands‑on learning.

It is expected you will be able to cover Surgery, Paediatrics, Orthopaedics and O&G when rostered on for long days and weekends.
