Key Responsibilities
Provide overall leadership and management of the mining operation
Act as the 2.6.1 Appointee in terms of the Mine Health and Safety Act
Ensure compliance with MHSA, Minerals Act, and other relevant legislation
Oversee mine production, safety, engineering, and operational performance
Manage budgets, production targets, and cost controls
Lead and develop operational and technical teams
Ensure proper implementation of mine planning and production schedules
Maintain strong relationships with regulators, contractors, and stakeholders
Promote and enforce a strong safety culture
Statutory Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be required to hold the following appointments:
