**Job Description**
General Purpose

Responsible for lubricating and maintaining plant equipment to prevent equipment wear, reduce friction, and avoid costly production downtime by ensuring all moving parts are properly greased, oiled, and inspected. Support Maintenance whenever necessary to help facilitate reduced downtime and costly repairs.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

+ Apply lubricants to heavy machinery, gearboxes, bearings, chains, and conveyors according to manufacturer specifications
+ Conduct daily and weekly visual inspections of plant equipment to check for leaks, unusual noises, or signs of wear
+ Monitor, sample, and replenish industrial fluids (e.g., hydraulic oils, coolants, and circulating oils)
+ Swap out clogged or dirty air, oil, and hydraulic filters to maintain system efficiency
+ Assist maintenance technicians or mechanics when extra hands are necessary (e.g., lifting and positioning)
