General Hand / Warehouse Assistant - Metal Recyling Yard

Reporting to the Yard Supervisor, you will safely operate machinery in order to sort, grade and purchase metals. Full training will be provided for the successful applicants.

Responsibilities

• Load & unload trucks, skip bins, and trailers.
• Operator equipment, including forklift and/or excavator (where licensed).
• Ensure customers receive a high level of service.
• Grading and sorting metals.
• Demonstrating personal responsibility for and commitment to OH&S policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• Attention to detail – this role involves working with metal and requires the ability to identify and separate different materials.
• A can‑do attitude; you will be open to undertaking training to diversify your skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills, numeracy skills, and basic computer literacy.
