General Election 2026 - Northland

Help deliver the 2026 General Election – be part of one of New Zealand’s most important events. Whether you enjoy working with people, keeping things organised behind the scenes, or supporting your local community, we have a range of casual roles available to help deliver the 2026 General Election. We are recruiting for a variety of roles across Aotearoa NewZealand, with opportunities that may last for a single day, several days, or multiple weeks depending on the position. Pay rates vary depending on the role and level of responsibility, ranging from $28.95 per hour to $36 per hour, plus 8% holiday pay. You can apply to work in a voting place, an electorate headquarters, or both.

Electorate Headquarters Roles

Work as part of a team supporting the coordination and delivery of election operations. These roles start as early as July. Electorate headquarters roles may include:

• Administration and operational support
• Logistics and planning
